Last July, I was hired by a friend of mine to do a small patio addition to his brother-in-law’s house in Cullman, Alabama. The project was simple: Do a patio addition in a rustic timber style using exposed trusses. So I did just that. The finishing touch: Black wrought-iron connector plates and black bolts. The project has been built and looks great.
